The Archives.

The Archives, located at 346 Muskingum Drive, Marietta Ohio, are usually open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm. Hours can be effected by weather and Covid. Please call to make sure we are open before traveling to the archives. For assistance with a research question please call (740) 373-1788 or email us at wchs.ohio@gmail.com.

Washington County Photograph Collection

Visit the Photograph Room to view our collection of Marietta and other towns in Washington County. Photographs include: businesses, homes and buildings, families, cemeteries, boats, trains, and trolleys, flood and fire events, and much more.

Research Collection

In our office, you can find census records, maps, newspapers, military documentation, audiovisual collections, cemetery, school and church records. We have a large collection of Washington County books and sources to assist in family research and genealogy.

Family History and Genealogy

Our volunteers can assist you in learning more about your Washington County family history. Call to make an appointment, send in an email request for information, or visit us to learn more about what we offer.
